new sofa in place

Here's my new sofa - all in place and waiting for Auntie Vicki to come try it out...

but in the meantime, Missy and I are making it all squidgy and comfy for you

I don't think its a pure bred Inglenook, Pidge - I think its a type
I seem to remember reading somewhere that a proper Inglenook you should be able to have benches either side of the fire and be able to sit in there to keep warm. As you can see, we can fit a stool -but I think your knees might get burned
Its definitely that style, though - and I do love it

Ahh, I see I thought it was more a style than a type. We used to live in a converted bakery that had an Inglenook fireplace. It was truly beautiful and yes, you could easily sit either side of the fire (although we're a lot bigger these days us human folk ;o). It also had a bread oven in it that Neil was desperate to use for pizza. I just had a load of tea lights in it and a big vase of lilies in the centre of the fireplace instead!
