I've had Indesit for years, have always wanted an LG, but they are sooo expensive. Saw a recon one on Ebay and got that to see what they are like. It is a good machine, but don't like the fact the filter seems to get bunged up easily, I think there must have been an auto filter on the Indesits as never emptied one ever, also there is no spin cycle where you can just spin, you have to use the full rinse and spin.
Its OK, but don't think I'd shell out the amount for a new one, next one I get I will be back to Indesit, I've had them nearly 40 years and only once have I had one that was always breaking down, the rest have been great. Have also tried Hoover and Hotpoint and always gone back to Indesit

Trouble with most of them is that you can't pick your temp and wash separately, if you want a 40 degree wash then you have to have the one they say, with Indesit, you can set it at what temp you want and what type of wash, not found another one where you can do this. LG is almost there, but if you put it on a low temp you can't have a fast spin for some reason

I have the Hotpoint Aqualtis that can wash a duvet never tried that. It has gone wrong twice we have service cover for that not a lot a month it has gone wrong twice in its 6-7 years of service one the memory chip can't remember what the 2nd problem was nothing major. I think it has done well and is still doing well for its age.

I got the LG because of the drum capacity, however it does fall down on this because it flashes uneven load when it comes to the spin cycle and you have to take half out if you have say several pieces of vet bed in there for instance, for that reason I've never washed a large single item like a duvet because if it did that then what would I do with a sopping wet duvet
