Oh wow Linda, what great shots and it didn't even fly off. I'm charging my camera up and I will take it on my morning walks in the hope that I can catch the awakening of them all in that field. I haven't as yet seen it, but I do remember it last year but can't remember when it happened

I saw loads of dragon flies on the short walk with Sue and the dogs this morning and some flying around her garden. Love them too.

Oh they scare me Lynn, I have to race indoors if there's one zooming around our garden. I once had one in the house, flew in through the kitchen window. It was huuuuge and a beautiful, bright turquoise colour, and the strange thing was, it was the day I had gone to a friend's funeral, so it got me wondering cos they can come back as insects can't they in the first 5 days? I've read the Tibetan Book of the Dead ya see!!

Thank you! The bush is full of them and the lavender is full of bees.

I'd love to see that awakening Helena.

Eileen - I shall be interested to find out which one grows the quickest/highest.

Helena I share your terror of dragonflies.

When I was very little i had a kind of waking nightmare; my bedroom was full of dragonflies, on my bed.. I screamed and screamed and my mother came in to scoop me up. We were never allowed to sleep with our parents so they must have been aghast at my terror.

Even as my mother picked me up there was a HUGE one my pillow... I was wide awake of course. Bright blue green it was

The things that really freak me out are daddy long legs.
