I feel the same. It's really quite brilliant and the documentary bits at the beginning with the few survivors just makes it for me......

It's ok but not a patch on Band of Brothers maybe it was just over hyped.

For me its just different. Band of Brothers was just amazing, but i tried not to allow myself to think of it as band of brothers and something on its own.

I have saved all the episodes and will watch it back in it's entirity at some point but it definitely isn't having the same impact on me as Band of Brothers at the mo. The OH who's really into his war films seems to be a bit less than impressed too.
I have a boxed set of Band of Brothers I just can't see me getting this as a boxed set tbh. It's a shame because we were so looking forward to it.

Having watched the entire series, I have to say that I wasn't as impressed as I was with BoB. I didnt have any feeling for any of the marines like I did for Bands merry men. You felt everything battle they took part in and you wanted them to be in every episode. The Pacific just felt forced.

Im glad I watched it, but Im in no hurry to pick it up on Bluray when its released.

Just watched the last episode and I agree with Gooba Trooper I wasn't bothered tbh about any of them. Band of Brothers was awesome I watched the boxed set back to back and was so engaged by it all. You have to watch it Vicki.
