I had a car with a clutch once, we call them standard cars and it was a pain in the neck when you wanted to eat or drink while driving. The only thing I liked about it was that it allowed for easy cruising in and out of traffic during rush hour. The pickup was better. Is standard more common in the UK too? Here automatic is more common.
