post counts

i got a question.. cos i still havent worked out how this works.
But dont u only up your post counts on individual topics?
So like, even if u posted 100 replies to one thread, your post count would only go up by one???
cos ive noticed that peoples post counts stay the same throughout one thread

your post count reads the same everywhere as it updates on all your posts and no you get counted for each and every post thank goodness or me and gems would of just wasted hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
