Hi from Minnie & her Mommy

Just a quick note to say hello from us. We live here, across the pond as we all say, in Albuquerque, located in the beautiful state of New Mexico.

I never grew up with animals in my home as a child. Now I am the proud mommy of three cats, Geddy Lee (13 yrs.), Leo (9 yrs.), and Bastian Alan Jones, or as we call him, Baj (2 yrs.). I've had two other cat children who, sadly, have passed on. The last one, Harley Dee passed two years ago when he was 16 yrs. old. I was heartbroken and devastated.

Two months later, my friend talked me into getting a dog, so Minnie is my first doggie child. She helped mend my heart and helped me feel alive again.

Minnie, who will be 5 yrs. old on 7/25/11, was in our local shelter. She'd just had a litter and was left their because her owners said they "now had too many dogs". How cruel! She had obviously been abused and was on death's door when I first got her home. I was so terrified of her dying, but it was clear to all that we belonged together and that she's my girl.

I am happy to say that she is now a healthy, happy, sweet little girl, with a menacing bark if you come to our door. Such a guard doggie! She's a love and the light of my life. She goes with me everywhere. She even won Grandpaw's heart. He gives his little granddog more attention then me!

She chose Baj and nursed him until he was fully weaned (another child who'd been left to die (where do these evil people come from?).

See, I have a disability. I'm with my babies all day long, so we are very close.My cat babies are indoor children but they get plenty of exercise playing together. I am so proud of each one of them.
