I'm sure those Toyota's are much wider than any car! I'm off to look that one up!

Indeed today I struggled too, there were 3 empty spaces, but I couldnt get in there because the owners had parked over the white lines and on an angle. The badly parked cars were : a Ford Fiesta, a Subaru and Nissan Micra !!

Perhaps they should buy a 4x4 as they would be able to park better !

Right, I've found my current pet hate...... The Toyota Landcruiser Amazon, now that is B-I-G and they are the "in" vehicle down my neck of the woods, especially at school times!

Yes, but then I'm considerate, I park a long way away from the main busy parking area, not that I can't drive and squeeze into a tight space, but because I know how big it is and how small the actual space is, plus I'm being very considerate to Dave in that he won't get his doors bashed in when Mr. Toyota pulls up and parks alongside!!!

pedestrians do have right of way and do have to cross the road as well

cyclists have every right to use the road

the average 4x4 is larger and has a larger engine than the average car

bull bars may be illegal but i still see them on 4x4's

buses and delivery vans have a purpose

they don't have right of way on the ROADS ; hence crossings being built for them to cross

cyclists have every right to use the road

but not priority

Rubbish. If you knew anything about cars you would know that a 4x4 with a 3. engine, uses less fuel emmissions than a Fiesta struggling it's little ar$e with a 1.1 engine Besides, cows produce more harmful gases As for being bigger, they are only taller, giving the impression of being bigger. A Jag is longer and wider than 4x4s AND has a bigger engine, will you becondemning them too ?

bull bars may be illegal but i still see them on 4x4's

Then you should report them

buses and delivery vans have a purpose
So does my car with 3 children and no bus service from where I live, like thousands of others, and disabled people's larger vehicles for wheelchairs, so do small delivery vehicles, and so on ¬!!

They have to be plastic nowadays on new vehicles, but are still allowed on older vehicles.

Unlike their US counterparts, European 4x4s have a smaller 'footprint' on the road than similarly priced saloons. A Range Rover is 20cm shorter than a Mercedes S class, and a Toyota RAV4 is a massive 47cm shorter than a Ford Mondeo!
Luxury 4x4 vehicles sold in the UK average 27.4mpg according to Spyder Automotive, comparing well with the 28.4mpg achieved by luxury saloons and 27mpg for premium sports cars.
The Honda CRV 2.2d manages 42 mpg combined, the seven seat Discovery TDV6 does 30mpg. The new Lexus RX400h hybrid delivers 32mpg despite having a powerful petrol engine and automatic transmission.
Plastic bull bars are not illegal but they collapse on impact.
My vehicle has a purpose too, it's not an ornament
