I once had a similar type pain and they whisked me into hospital suspecting gallbladder and I had to wait 3 days for a scan (no food only water ) and yet I kept telling them I'd pulled my stomach muscles through lifting a great big foxglove plant on the end of a shovel! You don't think your mum could have done anything daft and pulled those big muscles across her chest underneath her ribs like I did do you? I hope so, better that than something going on internal. I wish you all the very best and more, and sending lots and lots of hugs from me and Georgie to keep you sane.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks H, I doubt it as she still cant really lift after breaking her back, but I suppose it is possible she maybe twisted the wrong way - I really hope so and she had her gall bladder removed 30 odd years ago x

still no news I am going nuts here. Dad says we shouldnt do anything till we hear from ths hospital, but I mean who is going to be hanging about to run tests and process results at this time on Christmas eve. Either they have forgotten about her or something is wrong. I know it's the best place for her but just wish I knew something

have you called the ward and asked the nurses whats going on?

I often find calling the ward direct gives you more info and help,

I hadn't even thought of that Shona How thick am I?

Will just have to call reception 1st as if i ask dad what ward he'll tell me just to wait. The joke would normally be "what for? Christmas?"

Will go and see what I can find out now Thankyou xxx

No worries, I have had oodles of experiance with people in hospital, my dad spent a lot of time in hospital, dougie had months of surgery and chemo, the list is endless,
The nurses normaly tell you to call the ward directly for information, if there is anything to know, they will be the ones to tell you
