I love looking at them but am not sure how high-maintenance it would be to own a tank. Not that I mind cleaning etc, just not sure how difficult they are to keep!
I don't have any myself but my sisters recently got some and I'd say the hardest part is getting started cos the water balance and temp has to be just right otherwise they die! Once you've got going and the waters how it should be (takes a few weeks I think) then they're fairly easy. She just replaces the filter when necessary and replaces the water once a month, no real cleaning required! Hell of a lot easier then the goldfish I used to have anyway!!!

I think mines a X breed, but she looks alot like a lion head. She as the full mane under her chin but its only half lenth near her ears. I saw a pic of a lionheadXaggoutie (I dont know how to spell that ?), and it looked like mine...
I will put up a pic, but I only have one I dont like it.

The woman I went to see had a Guinea pig from my sister (the two Guineas didn't get along!) and got a lion head as a friend for the Guinea pig! Have to say despite the whole rabbit and guinea pig debate they get on like a house on fire! Not a fan of rabbits (had a couple as a kid and they hated me!) but this one was so cute!! Let's see the pic!!!! :smt049

Just found it...forgive the background, I hate it.
The of them go in a run outside all together and they get along, the little guinea pig cuddles up to the rabbit..
