Proud moment

I took Takara to the park for some fun and training this afternoon.

I figured that nobody would be picnicking as it was 4pm...

We had a great time - did some training and played tug and then just as we were about to do some more training, she ran off to this family that had sat down a few metres away from us.
The woman had sat down, little boy had sat down next to her and dad was getting the picnic out

Takara went flying towards them, the mother panicked so much that her son nearly had a little brother and dad didn't think not to put the food on the floor

I've been working on 'leave it' for ages now as some of you know, but she wouldn't come back for all the 'come on Takara!' and tug toy waving I could muster.

Then it hit me
I shouted 'LEAVE IT!' and she spun on her heels and came charging towards me

On the way back, she went running towards someone else who was eating a sandwich on the grass bank but came straight back and had a game of tug when I called her

Feeling rather positive now!!

Brilliant. I`ll have to do some "leave it" work too after Fudge's time in the park with the squirrels.

So chuffed with her right now, she can still be a pain, like right now she's trying to help me type but this is just such a breakthrough I'm so pleased with her!
