Stock pots

Tried these and whilst they may be quick (that's if you can get them open) they are so salty compared to cubes and far too much packaging to justify buying them.

Which do you prefer to use!

I use Knorr or Oxo cubes alongside mixed herbs and whatever is relevant to what I'm cooking. I get chicken carcasses for the girls, also lamb ribs, rails, necks etc. so I'll make 'bone soup' with any going spare, add veg and soup mix and it is a filling meal that lasts for a few days

Never bought one Solo...
I either make my own stock or use Marigold swiss bouillon in vegetable based soups

Hi Tawney and Meg

They were a free taster so tried and now discarded as far to chemically for my taste. Usual method is best.

A question though. With all the stuff we read about the levels of Chicken contamination are you concerned about using the bones !

I make my own too - homemade bone broth (/stock) is really good for you

This is the recipe I use:

Re your question - no, because when I make broth I buy an organic chicken

My dogs are raw fed and always have been and my puppies are weaned onto raw from 3 weeks onwards and no ones died as yet, my eldest girls are now 10 and my youngest is 7 months. I do get my stuff either from a butchers or licensed raw food supplier and it is all human grade.

I love the knorr stock pots, prefer them to the cubes, much more flavour.
I don't add salt to veg never have.
