A lot of people never realised that Holly had three legs as she used to dive into cover and leap over logs. She may have managed to work for a bit longer with 4 legs, who knows but it was getting a bit much for her at the end of last season. She seems happy enough to stay at home though.

Hi Helen, thanks for the link

Just had a look on your website and love your dogs. I have GSPs and an English Springer, and although they don't work they do spend a lot of time out on the land

Hope to see some more pictures of your dogs here on Dogweb

Would love to see pics of your gang. Have you got a website or can you post pics on here?

It's certainly going to be interesting training Dotty and seeing how setters differ from pointers.

Are you training your lab for gundog work? It's great fun, whichever route you choose to take.

Sadly no, he's now 10 and has had arthritis from a young age. Being a rescue we only got him a couple of months before he turned 5 so didn't get much chance to work him upto field standard, just basic retrieves and obedience. He's an amazing dog and is desperate to please and would work all day if he could, absolutely lives to retrieve, but now limps most days so I have to restrict him. Will possibly be getting a ESS pup next year so will start a fresh with him, if that comes to fruit!

Can't wait to see how Dotty turns out, Setters are lovely if slightly mad! But then thats why I love Springers!

Your boy sounds lovely. I don't think mine are trained up to field standard , we just have lots of fun lol.

Springers are my first love and springer pups are just soooo cute and soo much fun!! Good luck!

Pictures at last !!

Lets just hope they work ! First time I've uploaded anything apart from the video.

Long awaited for one of my new car, well I got it three weeks ago now

The back of the car after the dogs have already christened it with mud etc

And because at the moment I'm still editing the videos to fit onto the video hosting, (the max is 5mb and mine have turned out just a bit bigger than that ) some photos of the flattie doing a retrieve today.

I got this pic just as he was about to sit, hence why it looks odd

Some pics of them when we arent training. The golden has a very playful streak

and the two of them together. :smt049

When the videos are done will post them up later
