Yes carole got my card back I spoke to the women who took the puppy class and she was great - I asked about cutting down exercise etc but she said that I was to give him the best quality of life I could and make it as fun as possible as the risks are there regardless. But there is a boxer that attends the vet that has a serious heart murmur and she said that he is full of life and gets on just as well as any other dog, I will let you know when I get my app through for the hospital

I was told that you can wrap them up in cotton wool and reduce their quality of life or let them live a full life and risk losing them a bit earlier than you should.

What university are you taking Sonny to. Glasgow also has a good department for heart testing as well as Edinburgh.

I don't know the vet said that they will probably have a consultation first then decide what they are going to do.

Its just such a hectic month with exams and yesterday I just got so upset but I was shattered I had been in the library from 9am to 5.30pm which is a long day. These things always happen at times like this though look at sonny with his leg the day before we left for New York

Carole

Off the top of my head, the only 'illnesses' I can think of which might cause a temporary heart murmur are anaemia and stress. The latter, of course, may be associated with any physical or psychological distress. Will let you know if I come up with anything else.
