Daily Thread Saturday 16th June

Good morning everyone from a dull morning sitting on the deck of our ship in Southampton waiting to disembark. Have been cruising round the Norwegian Ffords for 12 nights. Will update later

Hope all are well

Sue, welcome back, look forward to summary of your tour.

Lynn, enjoy your entertaining and I expect you are scanning Rightmove this weekend

Moyra, our local rag is published on Friday, I have a copy and will look at the 'rental' section tonight, hope you're feeling better.

Off into the garden now, I will be shattered tonight but will look in at some point.

Good afternoon all.

Lovely morning here with plenty of sunshine. It's dulled over now, but it has been lovely this morning.

The weekend dog walkers are out in force today and we always have to be more vigilant at the weekends because of them. 'It's OK, he's friendly', 'he's never done that before', 'what's the problem with him chasing the geese, he never catches them' <sigh>.

I've personally witnessed dogs being attacked with the first, a 13 year old dog almost knocked down and causing a serious accident with the second and seen quite a few dead ducks and geese because of the third.

Afternoon all. Cloudy here and a few spots of rain. Third walk was a bit shorter because of that.

Our relatives have returned to America so it has returned to calm and quiet. The little lad got along famously with our big hairy beast. And vice versa.

Fortunately, Rosie love people, all people, all shapes and sizes. We had to make sure she was very well socialised because she's small and cute and both adults and kids alike tend to pounce on her without warning to give her a cuddle.

With the kids, I usually tell them that they should always ask first because not all dogs are friendly. It's surprising how huffy some people get when you say it though. Guilty conscience maybe because they really should have taught there kids that in the first place

Absolutely...I never touch a dog without asking, I did when I was about 3 and got bit...I went straight back and did it again.. luckily my mum is a sensible lady and said it served me right..the dog was tied up and I should have asked it's mum and dad if I could touch. To be honest, deags is sooooper cute and everyone wants to pet her...she isn't that great about it so I just say no...she is a staff mix so the last thing we need is her being labelled
Mum just called, they are in Wiltshire, they are off to long leat, part of her 60th...dad didn't know what to get her so I came up with that...she has wanted to go for years anyway, they are in the bar, it's noisy..she calls and was telling me she had a pitcher of sex on the beach....I swear I thought she said something different...I was in hysterics...I blame noise and beer
