Good for you feeding it

We saw a tiny one last November and by the time I got back (had Ima with me) it had gone, I think I spent all winter worrying about it.....

I know that if it doesn't get cold enough they don't hibernate and if they weigh less than 600g by winter they are unlikely to survive, so you keep on feeding it

Oh, poor little thing - I hope it survived.

I have come to a mutually convenient arrangement with my hedgehog. I put some food out in the back garden once it gets dark, and don't let the dogs out. When they have had their final wee in the front garden last thing, I put a bit more food out in the front garden. I have seen it eating in both places.

Unless, of course, there are two of them! My son is desperate to set up some sort of webcam to find out exactly what is going on.

On how fab, it would be great to see them wouldn't it? We see them so rarely these days
Keep up the good work, it would be nice if you could let us know how they get on

We saw it yesterday evening - all the food had gone so hopefully it's the hedgehog eating it.

No sign of it yet today - it's bitterly cold here, so if it's got any sense it will be tucked up somewhere!

What I'd really like would be to see some baby ones in the Spring!
