Passion flowers

I haven't had them in my garden before, this year I put some in and have been waiting for them to flower. The buds appeared,I waited, finally they opened. So beautiful, the following day my daughter came round and I took her outside to show her, to my dissappointment the bud had closed and hasn't opened since.
My question is,
do they usually only open for a day?

No......
They usually last a lot longer, followed by a berry containing all the seeds for the next plants.
I wonder what has happened

I remember mine lasting longer than a day. Mine also had fruits on. Not in this garden back in my old garden a few years back.
Have they been watered well ? Or maybe watered too well.
Just guesses.

I think I am watering ok, but i'm not the best gardener in the world.
There's lots more buds waiting to open, so fingers crossed they last longer it was so pretty
Thanks guys

I think my plants are a bit confused at the minute Looking extra lovelier now with this great weather we're having.
Good luck with the Passion flowers.
