Sadly it has been reported that it was a pitbull. How very sad for the family.

I did wonder brenda but was glad to see the press didn't do as usual and make that their headline.
The tragedy was a such a young man its tragic for any age of course died in such a way and that the dog died too. Possibly because of the way it was trained.

I've read about it and it said he was having an epileptic fit, and I do know from friends who have several dogs, one being epileptic, that the other dogs will attack it when it has a seizure, and she has to make sure the other dogs are taken away from it. So I don't think its totally the fact that it was a pitbull, but I'm sure that didn't help matters either.

Very tragic and unexpected for the family.
Was it a Pit Bull or not, the article said it wasn't a banned breed and Pits are banned.
I think while some dogs can be safe around epileptics and even warn them of an on coming attack many times they could be a danger in a situation like this. When my Boxer had a seizure my other dog start growling at her and trying to attack her face.
