Ray 99+- to 2013

I had to put Ray down three weeks ago. He slowed down suddenly, was hacking, gimping around, could not jump into the truck or car and laid around in a funk. We took him to the vet (friend) and she took tests and x rays. He had masses in his lungs and abdomen. She had felt his abdomen and felt the masses and his spleen did not feel right. The options were very expensive and were a long shot. I decided it would be best to put him down. I had it done in my pickup because that is where he liked to be, going somewhere. To the beach for frisbee.

I'm so sorry your lovely dog has gone. He looks very happy and smiley in that photo and he lived to a good age. I'm glad he didn't suffer long with his condition and that's a beautiful way for him to leave you - on the way to do something he loved. A testament to how much you loved him for you to have arranged it that way.

He obviously had a great life with you and letting him go before he suffered too much was the best way of showing just how much he meant to you. It's never easy though!

I am so sorry to read about your beautiful dog Ray . It certainly proves how much you loved him by making the most difficult choice us dog owners have to make for the good of our dogs. Run free Ray, run free.

I am so sorry that you have lost your handsome Ray - such a difficult decision to make but I applaud you for making it so that he did not have any prolonged suffering.
