Is your dog calm after a walk?

Does your dog come back from walk all chilled & relaxed?

You would think after a 40 minute walk round the farm, sniffing about for a while, meeting a few other dogs, plenty of ball launches & a slow lead walk home - we'd get back & Tilly would "Chillax"!! No chance today - We've just had 10 minutes of 90mph zoomies round the garden, a fight with the towel whilst trying to dry paws, tormenting the cat to "chase me" (the cat's not interested) and now I'm having my socks dragged off my feet under the table.
Too much energy todayme thinks!!

Hahaha you need a Greyhound. They come home and go back to their horizontal position that they were in before the walk

Depends really.
If its 1/2 hour quickie, ball throwing session, they are relaxed(ish) but raring to go within minutes of being back. Usually end up playing tug of war etc.,with each other

If they have thier normal 2-3 hour session then they sleep, all you hear is snoring

Yeah - mine are fairly good - any walk and they will come home and settle.

It took Siren a while to learn this rule - she always had excess adrenalin in her system after a walk but she has got there now

Half hour on the field with just a couple of short runs and he is out for the count.

Depends on how much exercise they get out on the walk, and if it was a long walk or a quick mile or so, if a short walk mine tend to come home have a quick 5 mins zoomies showing off to the dogs that were not on the walk, then I take the 2nd lot out and the same happens when we come back with them, after the 5 mins zoomies they sleep.after a long walk all settle down no zoomies.
