Most days we`re out for 2+ hours. If the sun`s shining or I`ve got a good book or bit of sketching to do it can stretch to 3 or 4. They don`t bomb about all the time though. They enjoy themselves, sniffing about or swimming or ratting along the banks..or chilling with me when we sit down.

At least every other day - on the beach.

I'll stay out with them as long as they want!

They do bomb round the garden though (1/3 acre) - you can see the paths they take where the grass is very sparse!!

We go out daily, but I wouldn't say Missy does a big run. More like a big sniff!! She trots around quite happily.
I don't think yours are over done, I think probably the person who said that never walked their dogs much and said what they said to make themselves feel better - if that makes sense to you

Our previous dog Max was always up for long walks some days on the field playing fetch other days we use to do 3 x 1/2 hr walks a day road walking when he became ill it al stopped as he couldn't manage it, before being ill he could keep going all day we allowed him to do what he could manage.
Ollie is totally different a few mins running and pretending to chase the ball then walking past it, he then spends 1/2 to 3/4 hour walking round and sniffing with the occasional run here and there. On road walking days it more like 1/2 an hour and a lot of stops to sniff, he has had a limp so we allow him to dictate. I think they know when to stop and chill.

Mo (and hubby ) are out for about 1.5 hours every day, rain or shine.
Some of that time Mo "bombs" around sometimes just pottering around. It depends on how she feels and who she meets.

My dog gets three walks. In the morning we're out for an hour off lead in a field where he plays with his doggy pals.

In the afternoon we walk for up to an hour and a half off lead around fields/woods/farm tracks.

In the evening it's just a potter round the block or round the little field for 20 minutes or so.
