Soft poo!!!

Hi all

Diesel has had very soft poo for a few weeks now i have tried changing his diet but nothing seems to make any difference, kibble, cooked, raw, still soft

Any one have any suggestions why this might be or any idea's how to 'solid' him up a bit.

Thanks all xxx

so many changes of diet wont be helping.

How long have you tried the new diets for before trying the next?

When you say his poo is soft - can you expand on that please - do you mean watery, cow pat like?
I know its not the best of subjects to be describing in graphic detail, but needs must.
Take a pic of it...but perhaps post it with a warning.

Hi Vodka Vixen You don't give a lot of information. If Diesel is continually loose you need to check it out with the vet.
If it is just a minor problem due to dietary indiscretion, the standard thing to settle his tummy is starch/easy to digest/low fat meals for a couple of days in the form of boiled rice and white fish or chicken. When things settle down gradually return to his normal food by substituting a little of it for the rice and fish.

Hiya...
I agree with the other posts, but would also totally agree that so many changes in diet will not be helping at all. Choose one and stick to it for a while.
Is he vomiting/lethargic/drinking????? Or are his poos just a bit squidgy???

Sorry guys, was a bit of lack of info for you, i didn't mean i was changing his diet like every day its been done over time, he is absolutely fine in himself.

The poo, well i wouldnt go as far as cow pat but if he does it on grass you tend to leave half of it behind when picking it up more just squidgy, it definatley used to be harder.

It may be nothing as he is fine otherwise, just wanted some opinions as to whether he may need a visit to the vet or not.

Thanks

BTW he's not eating anything he hasnt had before

I feed dry kibble to my dogs. If I put too much out for Toby he tends to have soft, squishy poos. Asked the vet about it and he just said that it was over feeding and the extra food was just going straight through him. He has always had a bit of a delicate tummy since he was a puppy.

I'd just ask the vet next time you are there just to be on the safe side
