Daily Thread,Tuesday, 31st August, 2021

Hello everyone, yet another month speeding by. Soon be the big C but before that I suppose the fireworks will start. I hope you are all keeping well. Lynn particularly hope Dillon is still managing to get around at his great age. He has done wonderfully well due to your loving care of him. I do miss having a dog but of course my mobility is so poor it would not be fair on any dog I took on unless it too was elderly.

Have a good day all, take care and stay safe. God bless.

Morning Moyra and all who follow
Had a nice afternoon with Steve and Molly, we had dinner, drinks and a film. His sister's wedding present has just arrived, I found personalized wine glasses and they are lovely, didn't cost the earth either.... hopefully he will be pleased

Good morning all.

Cloud, rain, watery sun, cloud, rain ...................... in other words, yukkie.

Took Gary his shopping. Three bags and a 24 pack toilet rolls. As you can imagine, it was a struggle. Cheeky sod asked where the chair I was going to take him was . That's Gary

A fair bit quieter in town thank heavens

Afternoon Moyra, griff, Chris, Kazz and anyone to follow.
Not sure if I posted we had a lovey time at Mark and Lauren's Sunday, we took two cars Gorden came home early in time for Dillon tea and Myself, Michael and Maca stayed till 7.30 and so glad we did the boys had a great time playing games in the garden. Thankfully the weather was kind to us Sunday to.
Yesterday Maca had to work so she worked from the cabin and said it was great and made her far more productive. Gorden,, Michael and myself went for a walk and Dillon stayed with Maca.
When home I cooked them a Sunday lunch before they went off for the train which of course we walked round with them to wave them off.
They were looking forward to getting back to see Charlie.
Everything crossed they will be here for Christmas.

Moyra Dillon is doing ok, but even on the painkilling tablets alongside the pain inhibitor injection he doesn't walk far at all now. This morning out of the gate, sniffed around the park fence crossed over the road 3 houses up crossed back and home.
We are sure he is not in pain as he has stopped wincing on rising since being on the pardale, we will see how he is by the end of September when he has his next injection due. We know he is coming to the end now, everything we do is maintenance to keep him pain free to give him a little longer and reasonable quality of life till such time as those back legs of his can't support him any more.
We discussed it this morning when out shopping and we both are thinking he may be make his 10th Birthday 2 November but we won't be surprised if he doesn't neither of feel very confident he will be with us till Christmas now.
Lovely if he is, but we have to be realistic and neither of us are about him being here for Christmas this year.
He is still sleeping badly his patterns are all over the place.

We went to Van Hage and had a look at their end of line Summer plants brought 3 that are Perennials and a lovely Robin sat on some trellis and sung to us, when we moved away he followed and stopped again and sung to us again.
I wonder who it was who came to see us ??

Lol Kazz I've done that before.

Hope everyone is keeping well and safe.

Good afternoon everyone

Pleased the weekend ent well Lynn and as you say hopefully see them at Christmas. Gentle hugs to Dillon

Oh dear Kazz but better early than late

Busy pottering around this morning then a drive over to eldest son's place to pick up some things he wanted as he will be staying here for a bit longer. Ben had to ring ENT appointments as they had not contacted him. Apparently he is on the waiting list to see the specialist but it may take 3 months. In the meantime and further problems and it will be back to A&E

Hope all are well Take care.
