Well according to the report there is very little if anything to find to eat thereabouts. But he was warned not to go on this 'trip' and went anyway.

Dogs die or are killed on all sorts of expeditions - this is making news because he ate his.

I'd only last about another 12 hours if I ate Bella whole! Seen more meat on a butcher's apron.
