Ear cropping and the like

Ear cropping has been banned in the UK for over 100 years so not really a topic for a UK based forum

Pity it is not banned here, because a young Dobe I saw for the last few Sabbathas had only just has his bandages removed the last time I saw him. Becen more strange that I have not seen him for he lst couple of weeks.

But then it is legal here so what can I do?

I think we could discuss cosmetic surgery too - we are an international site after all, plus some of the breeds (even here in the UK - such as the Presa) are imported with cropped ears frequently from abroad, so definitely a relevant topic

Bella's tail had already been lopped off by the breeder when I got her. I am very glad she still had her ears and glad this practice is banned in some countries now.

I always think of Dogsey as a UK dog interest site but open to all. (I was once booted off an American Forum for expressing my strongly held views about 'debarking' dogs and 'declawing' cats!) Not that either of those things are 'cosmetic'.

And yes I do think AZZ needs a day off (or at least a 'little lie down' lol!)

Perhaps we could have that as one of the Debate subjects?
