I'd buy one! I don't think I'm 'irresponsible' but I do have a working type Springer Spaniel and lots of rabbits and bushes/woodlands where I walk him.
It would be really useful to have in case he went deaf/caught the smell of something and went off across the fields and through the woods.
Price is a bit steep though. They seem to use GPS collars quite a lot in America for hunting dogs.
