Tilly ate a whole packet of raw bacon!

I'd got the bacon out of the freezer last week to defrost for bacon sarnies, it was wrapped in cling film & about half a kilo!
It didn't get used and sat in the fridge for about 5 days, then I decided to bin it because I didn't know how long I could keep it after defrosting.
So as today is bin men day, hub got the bag out of the bin early evening yesterday & left it by the back door tied up to put the last bits of rubbish in before putting it out the front for the bin men.
I was wondering where Tilly was & yes you guessed it! there she was laying on the garden with 1 slice of bacon left - she'd eaten the lot & had not long had her dinner. I took the last slice away & was a bit bemused at how she's carefully unwrapped the cling film without ripping it?
Was quite worried about the effects it might have & dashed downstairs at 2.30am when I hear her crying (she never cries at night) - walking round the garden with her at stupid o'clock but she only had a wee. She kept crying so I layed on the sofa with her & left the stair gate open.I Woke up this morning (still on the sofa) to find her upstairs, in my space in the bed smooched up to hub - cheeky monkey!
Seems to be fine today - though I didn't give her breakfast. maybe she had a tummy ache last night - lesson well & truly learned though

Yes, dogs love bacon, the older the better and they can digest almost anything, you should see some of the horrible things Bara has eaten, anyway, glad she had a good nights sleep in your bed

How worring for you - glad Tilly is ok, at least she didn't eat the clingfilm I think she must have had a bit of indigestion last night poor girl!

Naughty Tilly! Parker did this once with a whole turkey carcase he purloined from the rubbish bin. He was chomping through the bones as if they were butter!
