Sore on leg!!!

Hi anyone got any advice? Saffy and Max each have a basket but will insist on sleeping in the same one. Now that Saffy is bigger its getting to be a bit of a squeeze and it takes them ages to get in the right position to sleep. The thing is Max has developed a pressure sore on his hind elbow of his leg from squashing himself against the sides of the basket. I have tried putting the two baskets next to each other to encourage them to sleep in seperate baskets but to no avail.
I have been treeating the sore with cream I got of the vet. But its not going to get better really unless he stops squeezing himself in with Saffy.

A bigger basket would probably take up most of a room. Where do they sleep

Right your out of Coventry now.

They sleep in the kitchen, they do have two baskets, one is big enough for a Labrador and the other is big enough for a Great Dane. But they insist in sleeping in the smaller one.

If you took the small one away would they sleep in the bigger one? Dont know about Max but if Saffy is the same as Star they like to squeeze into corners and spaces they are too big for.

Make sure the bedding goes up the sides of the basket or take them away and put good thick bedding on the floor. It is a constance problem with heavy dogs.
