Small blue dot on male dogs underparts....

Alfie has a small blue dot on the external skin that covers his penis.

It looks like someone has dotted him with a marker pen - that's the kind of size it is.

It's blue/blackish and under the skin.

Doesn't hurt him and isn't a lump, is just raised a tiny bit...

He has had it a few days now.

Any ideas what it could be?

I hope someone with some experience of this will be along tonight or tomorrow to advise. Meanwhile I'd say if it doesn't bother him at all - don't worry too much tonight. Could just be pigmentation.

Because I am bored I tried to look it up for you - however you get some very VARIED results when typing into google anything containing the words 'foreskin' or 'penis' even if you've worded it quite clearly that it is about a dog and is a medical question!

Sorry laughing at above post.
Not sure what Alfie's little mark is but do no harm just to let the vet check it. Especially as it has appeared in the last few days. Chances are its nothing to worry about, but would set your mind at rest.

I once looked for something quite innocuous on Google Images and I could NOT believe some of the pictures that came up!

I suspect it is just pigmentation but let us know what the vet says.

(off to Google something innocuous )

My Alfie also has a mark on his underparts, it is his ball sac though.

I also tried to search but as others say, not really what you are after.

He is a blue merle and the vet said it is most likely pigment as there is no bump or lump or sore, it also looks like he has been drawn on with a pen!

Glad it wasn't just me alfiesblue! I think the others must have 'filters' set on theirs - to ensure they behave themselves on the net lol!

I did actually find some similar stories but I think it's best OP lets the vet have a look as it could be something quite different with a variety of reasons for it.

Hope it's nothing much.

Thanks guys. Its not on the skin its under it, and looks more blue today, almost bruise colour! Just in a small dot. Doesnt hurt him at all either.
He is bad for chewing his bits.... So I am curious if he has maybe chewed too hard as its like tooth shaped if that makes sense lol.

Will give it a couple if days and take him early next week if its not disappeared!
