Bleeding after spay

Not my bitch but this girl was spayed last Monday, wound looks fine but today she started bleeding- looks like a normal season but obviously that should be impossible... Anyone ever had anything like this? I've advised that they should contact their vet...

I have never come across a bitch bleeding after spaying, but it is not unknown for women to bleed after a total hysterectomy.

Yes I had a bitch start bleeding a couple of days after a spay quite a few years ago. When i took her to the vet he said that when they done the spay she had been about to come into season and that was the cause for her. She was fine so I take it that was right.
However any abnormal bleeding should be checked up on.

Vet check needed - they could always phone the vet

Thanks for the replies, owner has phoned the vet who said its not common but is not abnormal and should clear up in the next few days or so.
