Questions re ringcraft and leads

Im hoping to give showing a go with my little Merf, i found a ringcraft class close to me but im just wondering how do i tell if its any good? with a training class i know what to look for but showing and ringcraft is new to me

Do the ringcraft classes tell you about upcoming shows or is there an online site that lists them all?

Would it be worth joining a breed club?

Also show leads for a black and tan Dobermann what type would be best?

Sorry for all the questions
Many thanks x

Ringcraft classes should be ran much the same as any training class ie professionally. They should be willing to show you sort of right from wrong etc...and also be able to answer any questions you have. I have been to a few which were not great as they just let you walk up/ down mat without any interaction with you
As for a lead I would go for a nice fine black leather for a Black/ Tan dog
Most ringcrafts should have schedules available

Thanks for that, the ringcraft i went to look at had the dogs walk up and down and then stand, smaller breeds were gone over on tables larger ones on the floor and the guy that runs it said a different person each week will go over the dogs, they did the above a few times.
Fine black leather lead - sounds good i will have a look online.

You can also go to fossedata or highampress both give online show details and entry facilities.
I would join your local breed club and look at all their sites as they will have breed shows and that is usually a place were you will gets lots of breed specific information on showing.
