Need help to stop this breeder

Recently i rescued a German Shepherd Bitch of 3 yrs old and the dog came to me in a right state stinking to high heaven matted fur so much so she was cut/shaved by a vet and she weighed only 23 kilos since being with us she is now doing well, but the breeder in which i recued this dog from has at least another 15 dogs in a similar state living outside in cold damp concreted kennels with no bedding or food and water bowl in sight. Other dogs are kept inside but in crates that are obviously to small for the dogs that they cant even stand straight or move in the crates. Her dogs are aggresive with other dogs (we were lucky with the one we got) so they arent able to socialise with each other as they fight or rip each other apart as one of her dogs had there eye popped out of its socket and it took the breeder 10 hours to seek medical attention to the poor dog. She is knowingly breeding dogs who carry and produce epilepsy and also dogs that have CDA. One of her dogs has had 2 litters in the matter of 9 months these were back to back matings. This dog had CDA. Another has had 4 litters in 3yrs but only 3 litters registered as the 3rd litter only contained 1 pup which was born in the cold damp kennels and unfortunately the pup died at 5/6 days old. Another dog was pregnant with 18 pups but unfortunately only 8 survived as the breeder was advised that the dog required an emergency C-section but whether she couldnt or wouldnt pay for this i dont know but she continued to drive round looking for a vet that would give her oxitosine (please excuse spelling). I have contacted the RSPCA about all this also her local council but feel like i may be fighting a losing battle, does anybody know of any other organisation or person/persons that i can contact about all this as the issues with this breeder just go on and on and it upsets me that other dogs and potential owners are suffering at the hands of this so called breeder.

Try contacting the Big GSD site. (Google that with no spaces - I can`t put a link as this software will remove it) They have a lot of contacts in Surrey and may be able to help you.

terrible. The RSPCA are the people to contact if you think the dogs are not being looked after and given the five freedoms.
You could try taking some pictures sneakily and sending it to them, it might encourage them to investigate quicker that way. (obviously don't get yourself in trouble!)

Five freedoms are:

Freedom from hunger and thirst

Freedom From discomfort (the right type of shelter)

Freedom from pain, injury and disease (preventing them from getting ill or injured, and by making sure animals which are diagnosed ill are not bred from, and are treated rapidly)

Freedom to behave normally (enough space, not showing ab-normal behaviours due to an environment)

Freedom from fear and distress - An envionment or thing which is causing fears and distress to the dog.

So think hard and calculate how many boxes this breeder may ticky, gather your evidence - Again dont get yourself in trouble.. And report them!!

If people didn't buy puppies from breeders like this.. It wouldnt be a problem. Poor dogs They sound like they are being used like cash machines.

Thankyou for your reply i think the breeder in question ticks all these boxes and i have contacted the RSPCA, they went and visited the person and then we had a call back saying they didnt see a problem as such as the dogs have minimal care. It is a joke

OMG i was in a similar situation as you a few years ago.... ironically i was a breeder who bred GSD's and yorkies...

Conditions were horendous.... I phoned the SSPCA when I was about 16/17 on these people. At first the SSPCA didnt take me seriously and i didn't know the exact address of the location.... had to phone them a few times and eventually they took me seriously.

Within a few weeks they went to the location.... The people handed over a few dogs that they didnt want. Although as a result of te stupid law in Scotland. It took over a year for the rest of the dogs to get seized.

They got banned for a year for animal cruelty.... they currently have a few small breed dogs.
