I get a turkey crown with no skin on. I smear a little butter on it and then roast it inside a pyrex casserole dish to keep it nice and moist.

We are having Full Bird this year but I have a full meat hamper coming.

and a useful tip after cooking upside down Jen....two damp clean teaclothes over the bird when standing will also hold in the moisture ..... old tip from my Grans day some 50 years back

Bought a LIDL best at 10 00 E for 5 kg.

Froxen of course. May get another later as they are good valuey.

It will be dismembered; cats and dogs will get legs and wings etc raw and I the white meat. rolled with cranberries etc

Watching collie deal with a raw turkey back is a seminal experience... bottom in the air, paws holding it, jaws hard at work.

And yes the best way for a whole bird is upside down; I never do it any more.

Hi Rosebud, was that a frozen one?
I have been keeping my eye on Lidl, had one of theirs last year, exceptional quality and value.

Yes, froxen. They tend to get them in early but stocks seem good this year.
