Can also comeon euro tunnel so you stay in the car with the pup and it is faster than the ferry.

On the ferry the dog has to stay in the car by itself.

Surely it would be the same as us sending a pup to an EU country, they would need both vax, a rabies vax and a pet passport and what about the tick and worming treatments

Yes, but the rabies vac cant be given till around 12 wks ( i think) them there is a period of incubation after it is given before pup can travel, I think in all the pup will be around 16/17/ weeks before it can travel, all other vaccines of cause will need to be done.

The pup has to have had its rabbies vaccination at least 21 days before entering the uk.Check out the defra website on bringing pets into the uk.All the info you need is there.
Good luck.

To send a puppy to an EU country, it has the rabies vax at dead on 3 calendar months of age, then it waits for 21 days until it can leave the country. Also has to have both normal vax and be microchipped. Not sure if it applies to pups going in a car, but you have to have a Fitness To Fly certificate for pups going by plane, and that is done by your vet around 48 hours before going, also worming prior to going.
