Brenda, that's most likely the GA too, I am always shattered for about 2 weeks afterwards. The surgeon who did my knee surgeries...well the big one, he pioneered a mini incision hip replacement, he had his patients up and out of bed the next day!

Good afternoon all.

Very busy in town again and, apparently, all the access roads in are at a crawl. Not good bearing in mind it's only Thursday. Heaven knows how many will descend at the weekend.

Beautiful weather here today. Gary decided to stay home so we've had a relaxing longer walk.

I think what shocks me more than anything when we go to town is how many parents effing and jeffing in front of their kids. I really do find it hard to listen to without saying something. Goodness I'm old. I remember and prefer the time when that sort of language was only heard in tap rooms.

Chris, that annoys me too, because then the kids get a thick ear if they copy their parents in using such language.

I got an appointment at the fracture clinic next Tuesday and told to allow for a two hour appointment at 4.30 since it is usually around that time when I get back from walking Amber I decided to cancel it. After all it is not fractured and is much improved. I shall see how it goes. Sue hope yours is better soon.

There's a lot to be said for a boating life but please PLEASE do your research because it's a bit like the caravan / motorhome world, there really are a lot of crooks out there and it's pretty much a totaly unregulated industry. There simply is no equivalent to the SMMT out there

So many people go in 'blind' thinking it will be heaven when in fact you have to make sure you get the right boat, in the right place, at the right price. Well that's how it is in the caravan / motorhome world

You could book yourself a weeks holiday on a canal boat and you would be bound to meet a lot of people who could give you the 'inside story' which might help you decide.

Cheers Harvey, considering Steve and I are in a permanent state of skintness I think I would most likely be dead before I ever even got near getting one lol
