Help please re Turkey

We are hopefully going to our Daughters in Cambridge for Christmas, travelling up Thursday.
My question is would you buy the Fresh Turkey before travelling up & put in cool box on journey?
Or
Buy Fresh Turkey in Cambridge?



I know perhaps it would be easier if I said my Daughter will get it, but not an option

Phone ahead to a supplier in Cambridge to put one aside for you?

Take one with you. It's unlikely to go off in this weather.....

Decision made - Going to get in Cambridge, not stressing anymore, will get something from somewhere! Just can;'t wait to get there
