Christmas Cake

Is there a time by which I should have mazipan & iced my Christmas Cakes.......hhhmmm I know by Christmas ......but I made 3 cakes a couple of weeks ago, have 'fed' them once & suddenly thought, "how long 'til I have to finish them'......blonde senior momement!

I`m still feeding my cakes (with brandy), which were made 3 weeks ago. I marzipan them 2 or 3 weeks before then ice a few days before.

I usually only marzipan and ice them a day or 2 before Christmas! I only made mine yesterday which is very late for me, usually done in September or October!
