Bike Basket

Hello all!

I have a 12lb Shih Tzu and I would like to find a bike basket so that I can take him with me on rides. Due to the set up of my brakes, it does have to be a rear-mounted basket. Has anyone had any particular luck with a bike basket?

I've found a couple of options through internet searches but it would be great to get some actual personal feedback.

I remember a friend bought a used suitcase from a charity shop and adapted it to fit the bike. He attached a harness to his dog to secure him safely and it worked very well. I've successfully carried little dogs in the front basket and I know it is possible to get purpose built rucksacks for motorcycle use too.

They are used a lot here as well as small trailers.

I know you can order form this store but it gives you an idea of what I mean.

Having the dog behind you will mean being a little more careful about communication just because you wont be able to see him all the time but I can tell you I see these used everyday with loads of sucess.
