Dogo Argentino - will the breed be blamed?

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=15c_1...comment_page=2

I personally think the breed of dog is irrelevant (some of the comments on the page disagree) and this dog gave plenty of clear warning of it's discomfort.

I don't think breed has anything to do with it. It was not the dogs fault IMO.

Oh dear. Why do people feel the need to smother a dog's face with their hands like that, and a dog they don't even know. People need to be educated more on how to treat dogs, well, all animals.

Well she learnt the hard way, common sense not to try and kiss a dog you don't know.

I would love a dogo beautiful breed of dog! But of course this will 'prove' how dangerous all dogos are

God I could see that coming a mile off all that lip licking that she didn't read and it's was obviously just a warning snap as she didn't react to the earlier appeasement signals, forcing the dog to take it up a notch. breed is totally irrelevant, Cain would have done the same thing. It's just stupid to do that to a dog you don't know.

The dog was actually quite restrained. It was unfortunate he got her face but it was only a snap.

Why on earth did this stupid woman try to kiss a dog she doesn't know?? And the dog doesn't know her?!! When we first got Guinness he would have done exactly the same thing....to us or someone else. He hated having people near his face. He loves it now because we have taught him it's nothing to be afraid of. But this has taken patience and understanding and quite a while. That poor dog doesn't know her. From what I can make out it sounds as if the dog has been through some kind of ordeal...so what does she do? Shoves her face in his!! Silly woman!

I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on this an IMO the dog was put in a position where it obviously felt threatened and reacted with a warning snap as many dogs would.
But I have to ask why the handlers allowed the dog to be in the position where it felt the need to snap and why would the woman get so close to a strange dog.
Not the dogs fault or the breed.
