Ripsnorters post was inturn, a direct respose to my post. No one has stated that dogs arn't intelligent enough to learn more than one command so i'm still unsure who the post was directed at.

I am sure if any poster had imagined that I was talking about them they are perfectly capable of posting to that effect.

You did not make an "observation" you accused me of being rude and condescending (in your opinion).

Firstly I was not, and secondly even if you inferred that, it was not to anyone on this thread, therefore there is really no reason for you to comment!

Putting smilies onto your post does not make your facetious remarks 'read' any less insulting. Your first post may or may not have been directed at my original post but by being cryptic, just leads to misinterpretation. For my Honors i studied cognitive learing in dogs so I am well aware of a dogs learning capabilities as a species so can only assume it was NOT directed at my original post, however it may 'read'.
Now lets get back to the original thred....'Do you teach your dog to sit? Answer, no, no I don't

Actually "Do you teach your dog to sit?" is just the subject title the question itself is altogether more complex as per my OP.

I truly can't imagine that teaching sit on command would never be useful?
