yes, you're probably right, so perhaps the whole incident (i.e. 'the attack') wasn't as bad as it sounded.

Which I why I think Suze is being rather dramatic.

I'm actually concerned about this dog, what hope does it have of being taught manners and socialisation skills it needs for a happy, well adjusted life.

I would have thought that if millie being just a young dog had been that frightened by the lab would her first instinct not be to get away from the situation, making her attempt to run away rather than attack, to go straight for the attack makes me think this is not unusual for millie, eg she has done it before so I would be tempted to say what is being classed as fear is now aggression, (poss it started as one and developed to the other)
can I ask where millie was when the attack took place was she under a chair?

Hi westie, slightly off topic but could I ask what a multi-ped is , also well done on being in the young but sane and savvy dog club,

I, too, first thought it could be fear aggression, however, I agree with you that young puppies usually take the flight option when it comes to them being frightened.

Now, personally, I think Millie just needs put in her place, she needs to learn submission, I think.

I'm beginning to believe that Millie's upbringing is causing her to become aggressive, sounds to me like Millie is never told "no" and is quite a bossy dog and that the owner believes Millie is always in the right.
