Whie Tailed Sea Eagles reintroduced - by our house !

We're used to having buzzards in the trees around our house but this week they have begun the release of White Tailed Sea Eagles into our area.

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled - and the cats indoors LOL

Here's the link to all the details

and a couple of pics in case you were wondering what they're like.

With wings the size of two ironing boards - perhaps even I would manage to get a picture.

They are gorgeous birds, we were lucky enough to see some on a boat trip we took whilst on the Isle of Skye and they are huge and so very impressive. Pretty scary as they were coming towards the boat at one point with their huge talons glimmering in the sunlight as they feed them everyday

I think the ones on Skye and also Mull are doing well. Hope these ones have the same success.

I see a white tailed eagle occasionally when I walk the dog down by the river, they are indeed huge birds, very impressive First time I saw one sat on the fencepost I thought it was a statue

Great pics! I will keep my eye out for some for you, let you know how they are doing up here in the Hebrides
