When they opened up their membership they let anyone and everyone in including those previously cleared out by successive leaders in the past. Now. Momentum (or should that be the socialist workers party) have taken over who are way, way too left for me.

If Corbyn kept all the promises he has made since getting the job, the country would be bankrupt within 12 months of him being Prime Minister. I can't, in all conscience vote for that

I believe things like social care should be Government funded and instead of promising tax cuts to get votes they should get real and properly fund both social care and sufficiently fund the NHS.

Both sectors also need reorganising to make better use of funding to ensure the the front line is working efficiently.

I'd rather pay extra in taxes and know that our people are being properly cared for

I will not and never have held people's upbringing, class if you like, against them. It IS IMO classist claptrap to talk about Blair, Johnson, Cameron coming from a privileged background - as if it were something derisory, to be mocked. They are what they are - priviliged men who were fortunate enough to be born into privilege. They cannot be blamed for this, they cannot help their background. As it is in the animal kingdom, so it is in our species - there are the have's and have-nots; it is not fair, it is cruel and unkind but it is the natural way - the communistic ideal is just that - an ideal - and it does not work. Men are not all born equal, just as our dogs are not born equal. Some are high ranking, some are low ranking, twas ever thus and twill ever be. Like it or lump it. I am lucky enough to have had a privileged upbringing - it does not make me a better human being, I am what I am, and I am and always will be so grateful for the sacrifices my parents made for my brother and I to give us an excellent education and a wonderful childhood. I am lucky, I am not special and I think it very unfair if anyone criticises me for my luck - or criticises Boris Johnson, David Cameron or Tony Blair for their luck.

I had forgotten about this.. well, I might not like the morals of Boris but I am pleased we got Brexit, pleased we ordered our vaccines before the rest of Europe and considering nobody has had to deal with a pandemic like this before... well, I am still alive, been given my vaccine and hopefully we will all be released by summer.
I don't envy anyone the job that Boris has had to do and I don't know if he will stay as pm...still relieved we didn't end up with Corbyn.
Never would I have thought I would actually be saying I was impressed with Boris but there we go, happy to admit my mistake

With you totally and to be honest had almost forgotten this myself. I am finding it weird you have posted here as I said to my neighbour today "I have never written to anyone in power or famous but feel like writing to Boris and saying Thank You"
