Marius likes bannanas - as well as other fruit like apples and mandarins.

He begs from me when I am preparing it for Tito (probably jealous!!!)

The dogs aren't too bothered by them (an orange is a different story) but the bunnies LOVE them!

My dogs love bananas too, although its rare we buy them.

I would be careful giving the dogs the skin though as I believe they use some pretty strong pesticides on them and this will be absorbed by the skin, whereas peeled there is no problem.

Much the same for any fruit and veg, they may like the skin or peel but they are not allowed it.

Ebony has a passion for fruit - pears, apples, grapes, peaches, plums, strawberries, clementines, bananas ..... in fact any she can steal from the fruit bowl!! I've put it up so high now I often forget to eat the fruit myself!!

I was worried about her excessive fruit eating habit (and raw mushroom fetish), especially as she is so fussy about proper dog food - not like a labrador at all!! Anyway, I spoke to our vet and was assured that as long as her tum isn't upset, there is no problem about quantity or variety, just not to give too much as she could gain too much weight from the natural sugars in the fruits, which can be quite high in some, such as grapes.
