Does anyone feed their dog canned food?

I read alot of the posts and mostly I see people feed their dogs Raw or kibble.... I feed Jamie mostly canned food, with cooked/raw meat as a treat with mixer.... Does anyone else feed canned? Also which is the best canned dog food to buy, as Pedigree does my boys guts in He adores Butchers Tripe.....

I occasionally give my lot Butchers Tripe, especially the girsl if they are feeding pups. I wouldn't touch Pedigree to be honest!

Max has been on Burns complete for a couple of years now, they have just bought out a canned food (Lamb) and he loves it!

Yes, I feed Kip on tinned. He's always been an underweight dog - didn't like any kibble and although he would eat some raw meet, he wouldn't eat the full range needed to give him a balanced diet. He also didn't like nature's menu etc.

I've tried most of tins and have to say, for Kip, as he is underweight, Butchers Tripe is one of the best. However, recently we've switched to Butchers Superior - it has more real meat.

Years ago I used to use Chappie, which my dogs loved and also the Butcher's tripe, but quite honestly I always had bad results with Pedigree Chum in tins, and personally I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole! I like the Chappie, it can be fed to dogs with EPI as it's fish based and cereals which can't be bad.

Canned food contains 80% water, and what meat 'derivatives' there are, aren't usually of any nutritional value.

It's ok as an ocassional filler and usually for more fussy dogs just for taste, but it's no good for them as a complete diet !
