Sue, at least you are allowed to do your garden. Steve has taken over mine and wont even allow me on the lawn yet alone cut it! I did love my garden until he took over and has spoilt it. I am running out of tolerance with him.

Time to take Amber for a walk, that is something he should take turns in but wont. It was spitting with rain earlier think it has stopped now so time to take her. Bless her lovely being. I am glad she only likes to walk with me.

Ok the problem with the old petrol mower with electric start was a heavy machine, nothing wrong with that as the electric start helped. It was built buy a company called Webb and replacement parts getting hard to find as this one was around 11 years old. The other problem it started "hunting", engine not running smoothly. Just could not clear the fault. Sue could not use the pull cord on it was another factor as it took a bit of strength to use.

So time to scrap it and get a new one.

So we spent time on the internet looking at different ones and Honda have an easy start pull cord system and a lot lighter albeit with a 16 inch cut against an 18" one the Webb had.
it is ok looking on the web but we wanted to see physically see one ,so off we went to a specialist garden equipment shop . We could have gone to one of the DIY places but no experts there to inform.

At the Garden equipment shop who only deal with everything for the garden machine wise Sue had a go trying this one out to see if she could start it on the pull cord, and she could.

WE also looked at the 18" version but that was about £80 more to gain the extra 2" cut with the same engine but a bigger collection bag. Well with didn't think that was really worth the extra money.

This one is an easy start model by Honda and with a power drive so no hard pushing

So here it is now ready to use

Griff
Sue was wanting an electric mower but I had to put my foot down, power leads across a garden. No way on this earth would I allow that, and a battery one would not be powerful enough having to keep charging the battery.

A petrol one is the best option , that or just a push model which can be hard work, not even considered it.

At the kennels I had a ride on mower by Countax what fun that was driving around the paddocks looking busy.
before that it was a lawnflight ride on and a load of USA rubbish the belts kept breaking

I hate electric mowers... won't go back now. Bought an electric one for Steve's house but that was purely a financial decision.... would have preferred a petrol one

Hello all

Barry / Sue one of our mowers has a Honda engine and it always starts easily. Hope your is the same.

Lynn - Glad you all had a good time at the wedding. Now we are dogless, if ever Dillon needs a 'day care' let us know.

Today I went out to Knettishall forrest with Casey's ashes. We had keept Rianna and Lara in my workshop so I took them as well (Mrs. L couldn't bear to look at the casket in the house)

So, now all three are together in a place off the beaten track where we used to go. I hope it will be a suitable resting place for them, all of them too lovely for this world.

I would like to see Gordon Mac post here sometimes but he did have a bit of a spat with someone (Not the regulars) that maybe upset him.

Hi Harvey. I am sure Rianna, Lara and Casey will be very happy with the Knettishall choice and are now running free like the wind.
I will keep that in mind thank you re: the dog sitting.

Gorden had to leave for work today by 7am so we couldn't of stayed even if we had wanted.
Also not sure why I didn't think about it till today but there is a lady who does a pet pop in service owns Bernese and has owned St. Bernards and who we have met a few times on the Brancaster walks and only lives about 15 mins away by car.
Typical me always thinks of these things when it's gone.

How are the windows coming along next door griff ?
