If they've had a good feed they should sleep for a while and proberbally wake up at different times and find their own way for a feed you could just offer a hand to the lazy ones Offer her some food and if she doesn't want it leave it where she can get to it without having to go too far from the pups, and don't forget a bowl of water.

Like I said earlier I had to literally drag Ruby on her lead out but she'll feel alot more comfortable once she's been out to the toilet.

im going to offer her food and try and get her outside... i *think* she has had another but i can't be certain. she growls but lets me put them on her teats

This is what I thought earlier, mum can be quite grumpy if she hasn't finished, she also may have known the little one wasn't going to make it, these dogs are very clever! My Jasmine wouldn't go any where near her pups until she had finished!

thanks for the help.... i have put fresh towels over the bedding-its better than nothing. all the pups and mum are okay, most are asleep, some are feeding. the room is warm and she has a hot water bottle wrapped in towels.... shes laying near it with the pups around her.
