Hi Jackiew.

I will keep you posted on his progress. I don't have a digital camera but will take some pics with the 35mm camera and post them as soon as they are developed.

The mourning dove is very common throughout the USA and Canada too. They have a very sad mournful call.

Thanks for the kind words.

Hi TamT.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, dear Foxy is right. I am a vet in the USA.

I like that you said this is the start of story. I too hope he makes it but am all too aware that birds are fragile beings and he is emaciated. I hope we can make him better and so far he is doing better.

LOL! I need to be polite to a potential patient don't I? Otherwise I willl not get to be their doctor.

He is able to make is dove noises a bit this afternoon.

Hi Zantababy.

Thank you for your kind words. A few years ago we had a sick finch come into the house and wriggled his way into the cage where the pigeon lived! After a 2 week course of antibiotics to clear up a respiratory problem he was released as happy as could be.

Dear Foxy.

Thank you for your kind words and concern. I do believe that the arrival of Mr. Who was exactly what the doctor ordered!

An update is next.
