Van travel

My 4 year old female dog goes through phases but mainly she hates traveling in the van. i was wondering if any one has any ideas to help her overcome this, I have tryed dap spray travel sickness tablets and rescue remedy. When i first got her she was sick every time she travelled now she just pants excessively and show stress. She travels in a crate ive tryed this covered and uncovered with no success at the moment its difficult to keep putting her in and out as she recovering from cruciate surgery, although will begin doing this when she more recovered. She has been on long journeys when we go on holiday and does settle eventually as i say any ideas greatly recieved.

We gave up trying to make Mollie like the car we had and allowed her to chose the next one we got. Such a difference in journeys. She settles down straight away and no problems getting her in it or out.

Some dogs just know what they like I guess.

What type of van do you have and is she in an enclosed space which she can't see out of?

One of mine was like this in the back of a van (which had a bulkhead) so when we bought our own van we got them to take out the bulkhead and had custom made crates designed so they could see out of the window and they have been fine ever since.
