My thoughts are with you both at this time - you will do the right thing - and as someone else said rather a day to early than a day too late x

You are amazing Lynn x x

Thinking of you both, a horrid decision but as has been said before Ollie couldn't wish for more dedicated or loving owners. Huge hugs to you all. xx

I'm sorry Lynn, for what you are all going through. Please know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers and please give your lovely Ollie a gentle hug from me. Whatever happens now you have done your very best and Ollie will know this.

I'm so sorry Lynne. I had to make the decision with Shadow and in all honesty, it was the going to the loo issue that clinched it for me. Shadow was able to walk to the vets and as we crossed the field he had a run and a sniff before being put to sleep. I think it would be so much easier to make that decision if it weren't for the good moments they have. I know I kept hoping I'd just wake up and him have taken the decision out of my hands. As someone told me though, euthanasia is taking their pain and making it our own.

Hugs to you, Gordon and Ollie.

Only you know when the time has come. Something I wanted to mention before which might help is to think about what the situation would be in the wild with no humans around. Ollie would face a far worse scenario if he collapsed and couldn't get up in a world where there were no humans, to be blunt it would be a long lingering death which we can avoid.
